REQUESTS FOR BIDS CULLMAN REGIONAL AIRPORT CULLMAN, ALABAMA Sealed bids will be received until Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at 11:00 AM and then publicly opened and read at Cullman Regional Airport located at 231 County Road 1360, Vinemont, Alabama 35179 and at said time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for furnishing all labor, materials and equipment and performing all work necessary for: Security Fence (Phase I, II, and III) at Cullman Regional Airport. Copies of the bid documents including project drawings and technical specifications are on file and may be inspected at the office of the Engineer: Goodwyn, Mills and Cawood, Inc. 2660 Eastchase Lane, Suite 200 Montgomery, Alabama 36117 Attn: Beth Shepherd Ph: 334-271-3200 A complete set of bid documents may be obtained from the Engineer for a non-refundable fee of $100 paid to Goodwyn, Mills and Cawood, Inc. Bid Documents will be mailed only upon receipt of deposit. No Bid Documents will be distributed later than 24 hours prior to the scheduled opening of bids. Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the amount of five (5) percent of the total amount of the bid, but not to exceed $50,000. The bid guaranty may be by certified check or bid bond made payable to the City of Cullman, Alabama. Bids may be held by the Cullman Regional Airport for a period not to exceed ninety (90) days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of evaluating bids prior to award of contract. Award of contract is subject to requirements in the contract documents including, but not limited to, the following Federal provisions: 1) Buy American Preference 2) Foreign Trade Restriction 3) Davis Bacon 4) Affirmative Action 5) Governmentwide Debarment and Suspension 6) Governmentwide Requirements for Drug-free Workplace The Cullman Regional Airport, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. §§ 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. All contracts and subcontracts that result from this solicitation incorporate by reference the provisions of 29 CFR part 201, the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), with the same force and effect as if given in full text. The FLSA sets minimum wage, overtime pay, recordkeeping, and child labor standards for full and part time workers. The Contractor has full responsibility to monitor compliance to the referenced statute or regulation. The Contractor must address any claims or disputes that arise from this requirement directly with the U.S. Department of Labor – Wage and Hour Division. All contracts and subcontracts that result from this solicitation incorporate by reference the requirements of 29 CFR Part 1910 with the same force and effect as if given in full text. Contractor must provide a work environment that is free from recognized hazards that may cause death or serious physical harm to the employee. The Contractor retains full responsibility to monitor its compliance and their subcontractor’s compliance with the applicable requirements of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (20 CFR Part 1910). Contractor must address any claims or disputes that pertain to a referenced requirement directly with the U.S. Department of Labor – Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
